I wasn't sure what to expect, but this half-zip has quickly become one of my favorite pieces in the rotation. The fabric has an incredible softness right out of the bag, with a subtle slub texture that gives it a relaxed, lived-in look without feeling sloppy — and the rich, deep colorway I chose pairs effortlessly with casual jeans. The half-zip placket is genuinely useful for ventilation, and the mockneck collar adds just enough polish to make it feel more elevated than your average sweatshirt. Fit runs true to size, though I'd recommend air drying it, as it can shrink slightly in the dryer. A small handful of reviewers noted minor pilling at the elbows after heavy wear, so it's worth keeping that in mind, but for most people this thing is warm, durable, stylish, and goes with just about everything. Whether you're headed out for a cool summer evening, a beach bonfire, or just want to look put-together without trying too hard, this delivers — and then some.
